About Alejandra

Being "behind the scenes" of the fitness industry has left me with no option to look away from the horrors of how women are deceitfully targeted on their fitness journeys and sold products and services for the sake of keeping them in unhealthy cycles with food and fitness without the empowerment to see ACTUAL results in a safe, healthy, and sustainable way.

This drives my mission to help women be the most empowered and supported, in order to reduce the frustration of repeating cycles of not ever reaching health goals and thriving for the long run.

Coach, foodie, animal lover, want-to-be homesteader.

My name is Alejandra, a Texas Native and U.S. Navy veteran. My "fitness journey" started while in the service, but not in a traditional sense- my only focus was to pass my physical fitness tests and one day I didn't... which left my career on the line and I knew of very few resources to help me with anything beyond "do more push ups, sit ups, and running".

I knew nothing about choosing healthier foods that weren't just salads and I was scared to eat a carb for the sake of gaining a single pound. Building muscle seemed like something only "gym rats" did, and I just wanted to be "toned".

Fast forward a few more years spent running my little heart out and "earning" calories and I discovered the magic of lifting weights.

After hiring my first fitness coach and having a lackluster experience, I decided that if I was going to make another financial investment, may as well have it be in totally empowering myself to learn and fill in the gaps. I began my studies to become a personal trainer and later a nutritionist and fell in love with the process of learning, and my excitement gleams with the passion to help other women break the chronic dieting cycles and fear of lifting weights for fear of "looking bulky"- and to actually become empowered in all aspects of life, because it isn't just about "fitness" to me.

I use fitness as a gateway into helping you realize how much untapped potential you have, and just provide the "scaffolding" to build up the habits and fill the gaps in information and practical implementation.

I created Dare to Live Fitness with the idea in mind that taking the leap to invest in yourself and your health can unlock an incredible life- one where you have more confidence, strength, energy, etc. and the transformation is both internal as well as external, if you just Dare to Live (intentionally)!
